According to eyewitnesses from the people of the estate, they were surprised by a statement issued by Representative Mahmoud Qassem on Wednesday (May 28, 2021) announcing the existence of a decision to list all the houses in the area and the people in it, in preparation for handing them over new housing units, without explaining the transportation plan and the rights of all those affected, and after three days of the statement, a committee came to the area on the second of this June, a committee to list and number real estate, and on the next day that committee wrote down the names of the owners of the housing units (husband – wife) and photographed the apartments from the inside, and the committee asked the residents of the first five properties in the area to be in their apartments to complete the data Their move to Bashayer Al-Khair 3 and 5, and the procedures for receiving alternative apartments for their apartments there, and that the administration of the city of Bashayer Al-Khair told real estate residents that all of them will receive apartments at a rent of 300 pounds, and shop owners who will be compensated with shops within Bashayer Al-Khair 3 are being determined, but the residents of the nadi al asyd area objected, due to the unification of the way of dealing with the residents and the lack of consideration for their different circumstances pointing out that the compensation did not take into account the residents who own their apartments, and did not take into account who owns a factory and who owns a small workshop, and did not explain the vacant apartments that the families bought for their children’s marriage, and one of the people in the estate said:

One of the residents also stated that the police have been stationed in the area since the dispersal of the sit-in, while committees affiliated with the governorate are continuing the procedures for evacuating real estate from its residents.

Being stripped, dragged on the public road and accused of murder under torture: Security crimes take a systematic and institutional nature

Tunisia lived on Tuesday, June 8th, in what could be considered the ugliest, most terrifying and criminal scenes since the end of the rule of Ben Ali. These events took place in the Sidi Hssine area when a minor was stripped of all his clothes, dragged and assaulted publically by security men and then detained in inhuman circumstances. A large group of organizations and unions issued a statement condemning the incident, which they consider to be a convict and a criminal, and any attempt to float it or belittle it can only result in the denial of a clear and confirmed crime and support the path of impunity in the security crimes that have escalated in recent years and become systematic and institutional.

It also held the Prime Minister and the Acting Minister of Interior responsible for the deviation in the security establishment towards leniency in wasting the lives of Tunisian women and men and trampling their dignity, and calls on him to take urgent measures that do justice to the victims and their families, restore respect for them, and put an end to the security establishment’s employment in solving social, economic and political crises away from repugnant discourses about protecting Rights and Freedoms and called for a press conference on Tuesday, June 15th, starting from ten in the morning at the headquarters of the National Union of Tunisian Journalists, in the presence of the families of the victims, in order to enlighten public opinion more about what happened in the aforementioned two crimes, and to announce the total procedures required in this regard.

The inhumane security practices did not stop there. On the same day, the neighbourhood of Al-Jayara witnessed a death in suspicious circumstances of the young Ahmed ben Moncef ben Ammar after he was arrested by the security agents, which sparked popular protests condemning the practices of the security forces and demanding effective accountability for the perpetrators.

The former member of the Revolution Protection Leagues and the mayor of ‘Le Kram’ , Fathi Ayouni, bullyies journalists and media professionals out of the state’s control

In a dangerous precedent, militias affiliated with the mayor of Le Kram besieged and stormed into the headquarters of Shams FM radio station and attacked its employees verbally and materially, as well as threatened a number of journalists.
The mayor harnessed the capabilities of the municipality of Kram in order to carry out this attack, which reminds us of his past with the “revolutionary protection leagues that ravaged the country and had a series of attacks on media institutions and national organizations. The National Syndicate of Tunisian Journalists issued a statement condemning the incident and calling on the government to assume its responsibility towards the repeated violations of the mayor of Kram and the protection of freedom of expression gained in Tunisia.

An attack on a Tunisian citizen in Italy by beating, and the deputy of the department justifies the aggressors

The Tunisian sports club, “Esperance”, who is playing on June 19, the African Champions League semi-final against the Egyptian “Al-Ahly team”, considered that the Tunisian state is using the health protocol to suppress freedom of expression, calling on the ultra-groups to unite in order to be united before what they consider to be a corrupt political system
